Top Ten Artsy Book Covers

IMG_1319

Hello! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday: Cover Freebie! I am linking up with The Broke and the Bookish Top Ten Tuesday to share some of my most favorite artsy book covers. Check out their site for more TTT posts about covers!

1. A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

Oh, how I adore this cover! It looks like a water color painting, and the reflection of the buildings is really neat. All three books in the series are beautiful, and they look great together.

2. The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

This one looks like string or yarn art. The fade of the colors is really pretty, too!

3. Champion by Marie Lu

This cover is simple, but it does the trick. It is like spray paint over a stencil, and who doesn’t love spray paint?

4. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

The title is printed in a unique font that is kind of like calligraphy. The designs on the sides are doodly and fun as well.

5. This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

Music is an art, too, and the violin seems mysterious and regal on this cover. I love reading about music, and it was incorporated nicely into this book.

6. The Girl Who Could See by Kara Swanson

I really like how there are images that seem to be inside of the girl. They seem like a painting of sorts, and it has a mysterious quality to it.

7. The Names They Gave Us by Emery Lord

This one is also like a watercolor, with blended colors and a whimsical vibe. The tree and foreground seem doodled with a marker. (Hey, this book comes out on May 16!)

8. Sometimes We Tell the Truth by Kim Zarins

Doodles again! I really like the “doodled” or hand-drawn look. It’s fun, even though there could be flaws.

9. This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills

Unfortunately, this book is not released until October. However, we can still enjoy it’s paint like cover! It reminds me of frosting, and the colors are really pretty. Also, the story has to do with art, so that’s cool!

10. You’re Welcome, Universe by Whitney Gardner

Spray paint! This book is about a graffiti war, so what better cover than one that has graffiti on it?

What covers are the “artsiest”? What things do you look for in a good cover? Link me to your TTT!
