Hello, and happy Tuesday! We are back to Top Ten Tuesdays again, hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Today’s prompt is “Ten book recommendations for __________”, and I have chose to help out the Star Wars fans out there! I LOVE Star Wars and and sci-fi stuff, so this seems like a perfect fit!
1. Star Wars book adaptations
There’s, like, a million of these!! And what better way to please Star Wars fans than with Star Wars? I never actually knew there were so many of these until I started looking. There’s even some YA ones, including ones by Claudia Gray (whom I have included later on this list as well).
2. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman
This is generally just a really good book, whether it has anything to do with Star Wars or not. Though, it is similar in the fact that they both take place in outer space and have lots of planets and massive space ships.
3. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Again, I’m basing this one off of the futuristic aspects and really cool ships! (Side note: Marissa Meyer is wonderful and you should go read her books like right now.)
4. Shadow Run by Adrianne Strickland
Hey, cool space ships again! The blurb gave a Han Solo-ish vibe, talking about a great captain of a ship and all that. (I should be reading this one soon, as it is part of my #TheReadingQuest!)
5. Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray
There are lots of amazing droids in Star Wars, like C3PO, R2-D2, and BB8, and there are some neat ones in this book, too! Plus even more awesome ships and travelling to other planets!
6. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
Forbidden love among stars and unfamiliar planets… sounds a little like Leia and Han?
7. Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Look, spaceships again! (Haha, I didn’t realize that was my criteria until now..) And love and secrets and new planets!
8. The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron
I read this quite a while ago, and it kind of reminded me of The Giver at first, but it twisted into sci-fi eventually. Maybe the next book will give more answers?
9. A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
This one’s focused on travelling between universes and really awesome technology that allows people to do so. Oh, and there’s some romance mixed in, that develops more throughout the other books. (No spaceships this time! XD)
10. Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
War against aliens! I mean, you could say there are aliens in Star Wars, right? Plus, I don’t think I have ever heard a negative review about this book, so it must be good!
Illuminae and Defy the Stars were on my list too. If I had a number eleven I would have included Across the Universe. My post is about people watching eclipses though, not Star Wars. 🙂

I haven’t read many sci-fi books, usually ones with some fantasy elements to them. But I’ve been dying to read Illuminae and Cinder!
Great choices!

Sci-fi fantasy mix-ish books are definitely cool. Both Illuminae and Cinder are among my favorites, and I would highly recommend them. Fabulous reads when you get the chance!! 😀

I love them. ☺️ I’m hoping to get more into them and sci-fi.
Are there any others that you recommend?

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray is also one of my favorites (it’s not as much fantasy as sci-fi), and I really enjoyed Elemental by Antony John (which is probably more fantasy) but it’s a less popular book. Umm… I’m currently reading Shadow Run by Adrianne Strickland and it’s been pretty good! Gosh, I’m having trouble thing of things, but maybe you would enjoy one of these! 😀
