Top 10 Books I Meant to Read in 2017 But Didn’t

Hey, all! Happy Tuesday once again, and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Starting next week, TTT is moving to That Artsy Reader Girl, and you can find future prompts there. This week we are discussing all of the books that we failed to read in 2017! I’m saddened to say that I have quite the list, but here are ten for today!

1. The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid

I bought this with some Christmas money a few years ago, thinking it sounded interesting. I still have not read it, so it just sits on my shelf and stares at me.

2. The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

This one I bought on a whim quite some time ago, knowing it was fairly popular. It too just sits on my shelf. At least all of my unread books can keep each other company! (Though I really am going to try and read this one this year!)

3. Divergent by Veronica Roth

Yeah, yeah I know I’m behind. This series is at the very top of my list of things to read in 2018, so very soon I will know what it’s all about!

4. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I actually have plans to buddy read this with one of my friends (she is rereading) before Restore Me comes out on March 6!

5. P.S. I Still Love You & Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

I read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before back in September and I really enjoyed it! I hope to get around to the rest of the series really soon.

6. This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada

I had this from the library not too long ago, but there were holds on it and I couldn’t renew it. So, it had to be returned unread, but I will get to it another time. It sounded very unique!

7. The Game of Lives by James Dashner

It’s been a while since I read the first book, Eye of Minds, and I even started the second book, Rule of Thoughts, but I never finished it. I really enjoyed the first book, and the second one was going well, so I should pick them up again!

8. Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass

This is a collection of novellas that go with The Selection series. I intended to read it with the Reading Quest Challenge that I did in August-September, but I didn’t. I’m sure its good, as I liked the rest of the series, I just haven’t got around to it yet.

9. Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland

I think this book sounds super cute and reminds me a bit of Eleanor & Park. I hope to get to it eventually!

10. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Speaking of Rainbow Rowell books, I’ve been wanting to read this ever since I read Eleanor & Park, which was towards the beginning of last year. Almost a year ago? Wow…
