Top 10 YA Book Ships

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I’m back with another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week is a romance freebie, so I’m talking about some of my favorite ships! I don’t usually discuss ships or things like that here, so I thought it would be a good chance to share some of my favorites!

1. Percy and Annabeth

Okay, this is basically the ultimate ship. It really doesn’t get any better than these two. Percy and Annabeth go together like PB&J, and they are soo adorable! It’s been quite a while since I read Percy Jackson, but I definitely should read it, even if only for these two!

2. Cinder and Kai

Of course they are on this list. I LOVE the Lunar Chronicles, and I LOVE Cinder and Kai. They are with you from the beginning of the series, and their relationship only grows.

3. Cress and Thorne

Hey, another Lunar Chronicles pair! I think Cress was my favorite book from the series. Cress is just so cute, and she is wonderful paired with Thorne on their journeys. I know a lot of people would probably choose Scarlet and Wolf over these two, but I just enjoyed how they were in love without really admitting they were.

4. Caroline and Adam

This pair is from Trish Doller’s In a Perfect World. I was quite surprised by this book, and I really enjoyed Caroline and Adam together. It discusses many culture differences, which really made me think about how we view our own culture and how we view others.

5. Dimple and Rishi

I just adore Dimple and Rishi! They are wonderful! Like, Dimple throws her coffee on him when they first meet. How cute is that? This book also discusses a different culture, which I really liked, and how they view romance.

6. Eliza and Wallace

Again, such an amazing book. Eliza is so incredibly relatable, while Wallace is just so sweet and caring. If you often find yourself among people in an online community and you have not read this book, go read it RIGHT NOW because you will love it.

7. June and Day

For me, this is another ultimate ship. Not to give away any spoilers, but this ship will tear you apart. (If you’ve read the Legend trilogy you know what I mean…) These characters are very well crafted, and you can’t help but want them to be happily together.

8. Kady and Ezra

Hooray, Illuminae! These two are great as they each deal with the invasion of their planet separately and differently. Their quick messages are more than enough to show how they feel for each other!

9. America and Maxon

I know there are some readers who found America to be annoying, but I really liked her! She had a different relationship with Maxon than the other girls, in the sense that she wasn’t really out to win the spot as his wife. However, they worked together really well, and I enjoyed reading about them!

10. Eva and Zenn

These two are from Zenn Diagram by Wendy Brant, which is about a girl who loves math! (That was really exciting for me, ok?) Eva meets this really mysterious guy named Zenn, and voila. You have a classic YA romance.

What are some of your favorite ships? Do you ship some of the ones I listed? Link me to your TTT!

  1. *squealing:I LOVE talking ships!!*
Cinder & Kai and Cress & Thorne are the ships of my life. They are so cute and give me all the feels. I cannot come up with proper words because all I do is squeal when I think about them.
June and Day are probably my most heartbreaking favourite ship because of *reasons* Sighhh I love them but I get so sad when I think about them. Great post!

    • YES!! I honestly don’t know what I would do without any of the Lunar Chronicles ships. And June and Day… I think it’s impossible not to have a sad sort of love towards them. Though I saw that Lu was writing a novella that occurs after the series, maybe that will make it a bit better? I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
