May Book Haul

Hello! Today I am doing a book haul including the books I acquired in May. I haven’t had a large order of books in quite a while, so I am very excited about this one! I have a wide variety of genres and types, and I even got the Lunar chronicles coloring book!! However, I did have a bit of trouble fitting them all onto my bookshelf… Anyways, I am eager to share what amazing books I have gained over the past month!

Books Bought:

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye:

I really like the cover on this book, and it seems interesting! I guess we’ll see, as I don’t always like fantasy as much anymore.

Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray:

I loved this outer space sci-fi adventure, and there’s a second book that was recently released!

Four by Veronica Roth:

I have been (slowly) reading the Divergent series, and I am enjoying it for the most part. I just finished Insurgent and I am a bit disappointed by the book as a whole, but I am eager to complete the series.

Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch:

This sounds so cute and fun, and I hope to read it soon! Maybe it will make a great summer read!

Zero Repeat Forever by G.S. Prendergast:

Another science fiction novel that I (fairly) recently discovered! It reminded me a lot of The Fifth Wave, but I definitely enjoyed it! Also, this book had one of the most clever title tie-ins that I have ever encountered. It was so so creative!

The Lunar Chronicles coloring book:

I don’t color that often, but these kinds of coloring books make coloring super relaxing and fun! And what’s better than one with TLC characters?

This Shattered World and Their Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman & Megan Spooner:

I love the covers in this series! I still have not read the first book, but anything by Amie Kaufman set in space is bound to be good!

Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth:

Yes. I am reading this series several years too late, but I’m enjoying it! I probably would have liked it more had I read it a few years ago, but it’s not too bad!

Now a Major Motion Picture by Cori McCarthy:

I had seen some good things about this book on Goodreads, and it seemed really cute! I’m only a few chapters in, but I like it so far!

Shadow Call by Adrianne Strickland:

I loved Shadow Run when I read it last September, and I was really excited to head there was a second one! Yet, it has been sitting by my bed for like a month, untouched. I don’t remember a whole lot from the first book, so maybe that’s why…

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell:

I have been dying to read this since I devoured Eleanor & Park quite a while ago. Hopefully I will get to it soon!
