Hello, everyone! It’s been quite a long time since my last post, but school is finally wrapping up, so I hope to be posting a lot more over the summer! It’s crazy that a whole year of school has nearly passed, as it seems like it just started. Anyways, Siobhan at Novelties tagged me for the I Should Have Read That Book Tag a while ago, and I’m excited to finally get to it! (Also, Siobhan’s blog is wonderful and always has fun tags and great discussions, you should definitely show her some love!)
This tag was created by Beth at Books Nest.
The Rules:
- Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post. (Thank you Siobhan!)
- Link to the creator’s blog.
- Answer the questions below.
- Tag 10 others to take part.
- Enjoy!
A book that a certain friend always tells you to read
I have a friend who has recommended The Fault in Our Stars to me several times, but I’m just not into it I guess.
A book that has been on your TBR forever, yet you still haven’t picked it up
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of books I could answer with, but I’m going with Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I always keep saying I am going to read it, but I have yet to do so. I even own a copy!
A book in a series you have started but haven’t gotten around to finishing
There’s also several of these, but the first series to come to mind is the Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan. I read the first book quite some time ago, but now there’s two more and likely more to come and I don’t really remember what happened in the first book. I have been rereading the other books in the Percy Jackson world, though, so maybe I will get around to them soon.
A classic you have always liked the sound of but never actually read
Probably Pride and Prejudice, though I haven’t really enjoyed any of the classics that I’ve read. I’m just not a fan of the writing styles usually. However, I like the idea of Pride and Prejudice and have enjoyed some retellings, so maybe I would like it.
A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet
I typically try to read books before seeing the movie, but I saw the Darkest Minds movie without reading the book. I really liked the movie, and it inspired me to read the book, though I have yet to do so. Hopefully I can read it this summer!
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet
I have seen soooo much stuff about Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff lately, it’s insane! There’s so much hype behind this book, but based on Illuminae and it’s amazingness, it should be worth it!
Oh boy do I have a lot of these on my list! It took me forever to read The Cruel Prince but I finally have, which is a major accomplishment on my part hehehe But there are so so many books that I always say I’m gonna read then forget about lol

Yes! It seems that most books I say I’m going to read I add on Goodreads and then forget about for a year because something else new and shiny catches my eye! 😆
